IMPACT OF GLOBAL ECONOMIC TRENDS ON THE COMPETITIVENESS OF AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES
Abstract
The article examines the impact of global economic trends on the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises. Particular attention is paid to such key factors as globalization, technological innovation, integration processes, climate change and their relationship with the development of the agricultural sector. It reveals both the positive aspects of integration into international markets, in particular access to new sales channels, and the challenges associated with increased competition and the need to comply with international standards. The author emphasizes the growing importance of digital technologies in increasing the productivity of agricultural enterprises, including the use of drones, precision agriculture and artificial intelligence. At the same time, the limitations for their implementation, caused by financial barriers and insufficient training of personnel, are indicated. The article also analyzes the impact of climate change on the agricultural sector, in particular the need to adapt to new conditions, which includes the development of resistant crop varieties and the improvement of irrigation systems. Separately, the role of integration agreements, such as Ukraine's cooperation with the EU, which stimulates the development of the industry, is considered. Its positive impact on expanding Ukraine's export opportunities is highlighted, but the difficulties associated with fulfilling the strict regulatory requirements of the European market are also emphasized. However, methodological studies have made it possible to determine that the factors of economic globalization have a fairly significant impact on the formation of a conceptual approach to assessing both the agricultural industry as a whole and its individual structural elements. The identified provisions made it possible to propose the application of PESTE(L) analysis at the industry level to assess the impact. The main conclusion of the article is that the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises in the global environment depends on the ability to innovate, effectively manage resources and adapt to the rapidly changing conditions of the world economy. In addition, a large role here belongs to logistics processes and state approaches to the need to regulate all processes at all stages of production and sale of agricultural products.
